Global Technology is dedicated to banking applications and is active
throughout the world, providing clients with technology solutions and
management consulting services. From a strong beginning in Bankplus
and Globus core banking systems, the Banking Division is now a broader
business, providing solutions to micro-lenders and credit co-operatives,
SFI middleware products, including bulk payment switching, telebanking,
internet banking and secure cheque printing. Other middleware products
include ATM and point of sale switching, and interfaces to other applications.
Global Technology is the S.W.I.F.T. representative in sub-Saharan Africa
and has business alliances with a number of S.W.I.F.T. approved vendors
for the supply of payments, reconciliation and exception management
software, and provides the necessary services to successfully implement
fully integrated solutions. In addition, Global Technology supply the
software and services to enable clients to implement Enterprise Customer
Management systems. Global also offers a range of integrated, complementary
solutions for the assessment and management of lending risk and trading
risk, and collections system facilities. These are aimed at improving
the quality of the loans book and providing front-end systems for automating
debt collection processes.
